In Japan, more women are expected to undergo infertility treatment due to expanded health insurance and the trend of women marrying later. Advanced maternal age is also a risk factor for HDP. A review found that advanced maternal age confounds the link between assisted reproductive technology (ART) and hypertension in pregnancy. Whether infertility treatment is linked to HDP regardless of age needs further investigation. This study examined the connection between infertility treatment and HDP based on patient age.
